I know that my updates lately have been few and far in between, sorry about that.

I am feeling much better and am starting to rely less and less on pain meds. Hopefully soon I will be completely off of them and able to drive! For now, I am waiting until my next doctor's appointment when he will start to have me bending and twisting. Since this will be tearing the scar tissue (sounds gross, but that's supposed to happen), it will be painful at first.

I went to my first follow-up doctors appointment yesterday.

Results? I didn't grow a single cm.

I'm the same exact height as I was April!! So very disappointing, as that was the biggest thing that I was looking forward to. :( But the doctor said that I still need to wait for the muscles to heal and for the swelling to go down before the height difference will take affect. (I'm not sure if the way I worded that made sense...)

However, the difference in the x-ray taken before the surgery and the x-ray that I had taken yesterday was astounding! I've changed the picture on the right to a picture of my 2 x-rays, instead of some random one I've gotten off of the internet. ha

car ride!

i ventured out into the world and took my first car ride since coming home from the hospital!

it was a little bumpy, but it went rather well.
